Bulgarian co building solar energy park in Rhodope mountains |
Local company Energy Investments has commenced work on a solar energy park near the village of Srednogortsi, Southern Bulgaria.
The installation of the solar panels will begin on October 10. The facility should be fully operational later that same month.
The solar energy park, with an output capacity of 45kW, will occupy only 0.15 ha but that footprint could later be extended to 5-10 ha.
Energy Investments has already sealed a deal to sell the power output to Austria's EVN at 0.72 levs/kW. The Austrian company owns the regional power distribution companies in Stara Zagora and Plovdiv.
The solar park investor is the majority owner of licensed power trader Energy Eco Trade.
Energy Investments is also developing a wind farm project in collaboration with Greek GP Energy |
